There so much to love about Love Addiction that it's hard (both ways) to know where to start: a wicked sense of humor, clever special effects, a dynamite cast, sex that's both sensual and piggy, strange positions to fuck in, and more. Daniel Marvin stars; this guy is drop-dead gorgeous whether he's naked, wearing leather or in a suit and tie. The film plays out as a series of scenes (nine!) that arise from ongoing visits of Daniel to his psychotherapist, Bruno Bordas. Name an addiction and Daniels' got it — sex, drugs, gambling, the gym — which is good because in his case, all neuroses lead to sex. He wears a ring that at first appears to be a wedding band (he was married but his wife left him), but when he turns the ring around, there's a pig's head on the opposite side, representing the hidden side of relationships — to Daniel, anyway. In his words, he lives life as if it were a porno movie, and he likes it that way. For proof, Daniel cancels an appointment due to an "Important Meeting," which is truth is a tryst he's arranged with three other guys: Nacho Navas (aka Oscar Blanco), Kaio Castro and Mauro Max. Blanco, whose freckles are very sexy, is slender and muscular and he's there primarily to service the others, who all take turns fucking him, although there are other oral and anal connections in the scene. His most recent psychological crisis was caused when he fell in love at first sight with a man he saw on the street (Pedro Andreas), only to have the same man turn up later when he hired a trick from a call-boy service. In their scene together, "True Fucking Love," they negotiate the gap between love for hire and emotional intimacy in a lyrical flip-fuck that only increases Daniel's confusion. Love just throws a monkey-wrench into the works. On top of that, Pedro does not reciprocate Daniel's feelings. A few seconds after leaving Daniel's apartment, a phone call sends him off to another appointment, this one a leather three-way with Mauro Max and Thomas Achaval (aka Manuel Lozano). This scene, "False Appearances," is as much about style as it is about leather, with sunglasses and jewelry as leather accessories. Achaval gets his hole plied with a string of anal beads before getting fucked by Mauro and Pedro. Just before Thomas climaxes, Mauro puts a black plastic bag over his head and compresses all the air out, and we can see Thomas sucking the plastic from within as he jerks out a load. Then Mauro rips the bag off and he and Pedro cum in Achaval's mouth and face. "Love Is Contortion" brings Nacho back, paired with Andrés de la Serna. They represent the beauty, grace and physical and emotional challenges of love, in a scene that may make you think of Cirque du Soleil acrobats. Theirs is a lovely ballet that segues into sex. There's no sucking. Andrés rims and fucks Nacho, who lives up to the definition of nacho as "snack." The interconnections among the characters in Love Addiction merit a diagram like the one created by The L Word's Alice Pieszecki. Kaio, it turns out, is also one of the two great loves of shrink Bruno Bordas (way hot wearing eyeglasses, by the way). The other is Nano Roca. In "Timeless Threesome" Bruno indulges in a sex fantasy in which the two lovers appear in his bed, first singly, then together to take turns fucking him. Acrobat Andrés de la Serna, meanwhile, is recycled in "Fuckbuddies and Other Intelligent Life Forms," in which he joins Tobias Sodi (aka Tommy Lima) and Nano Roca for a threesome with another display of acrobatic fucking. This time, de la Serna spread-eagles himself between two couches, supported only by his feet and ankles on top of the couches on opposite sides of him. Sodi scooches up to him until he is getting his ass fucked by de la Serna, who is effectively suspended in midair. While getting fucked, Lima sucks Roca. Later, de la Serna fucks Roca in a less demanding position. Bordas' sex life seems to be entirely imaginary. After listening to his client Daniel talk about his feelings of love for the hustler Pedro, Bruno imagines the three of them together. Director Strongboli conjures up another amazing fuck here. Daniel and Pedro lie on a table on their backs, butt-to-butt. Bruno connects them with a double-headed dildo, then squeezes their cocks together, snaps a single condom over their conjoined shafts, and sits on it. All three are getting fucked at the same time, though it's Bruno doing all the work. This one is called "Deep Connection." "Love Burns" is even more controversial, conjuring up recollections of the final scene of Brad Braverman's 1994 film, hush. Sodi and Achaval enact a scene narrated by Marvin to his therapist. Daniel wakes at the moment when he and Pedro met, thanks the doctor, and invites hi to a sex party at his house the next day. Most of the cast is on hand, minus Pedro. Nacho is again the guy who's there for everyone to have fun with. This time, as everyone face-fucks him, they write their names on his bare skin with a black marking pen. Once everyone has had a turn, Nacho is laid on a table for everyone to fuck, and as each man fucks him, he writes again on Nacho's skin — this time, things like "whore" and "slut." Nacho is made to eat everyone's load, the last one being Daniel Marvin's, as Daniel writes "pig" on his forehead. After the party, Daniel announces to Bordas that he's cured and will not be resuming therapy … but then he walks out onto the street and runs into Pedro. Love Addiction is a tour de force of brilliant conception and direction. It also has creative visual effects, terrific music, a great cast and seismic sex. Clad in a jockstrap, the other guys take turns fucking him upturned on a couch.
